Louise Franke, Spartanburg, is a senior at Clemson University, where she majors inBiochemistry. She has won public policy fellowships in philosophy and public policy at theHudson Institute and from Clemson, and has combined research in biochemistry labs withwork in classical philosophy and American politics. Louise is also a senator in studentgovernment, president of a literary society, and founder of a journal in undergraduatehumanities research. She is Clemson’s first Rhodes Scholar and plans for a career inhealthcare policy. Louise will read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford.
