Tahlia Smith
Biography
Tahlia Smith graduated as valedictorian from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of International Studies and a Diploma of Languages. During her studies, she undertook a variety of internships and exchanges that led her to develop her passion for meaningful intercultural communication and effective public policy. Since graduating, Tahlia has worked for the Ecuadorian Government in diplomacy and the Australian Government in counter-fraud and international trade. She has held leadership positions in international not-for-profits and student-led organisations. Tahlia has co-authored publications on topics including actioning the sustainable development goals and cross-border collaboration to achieve the UN 2030 Agenda. Tahlia is multi-lingual and uses her language skills as a volunteer community translator and interpreter. In her spare time, Tahlia enjoys half-marathon running and Latin dancing.
