Varsha Sarveshwar
Biography
Varsha Sarveshwar graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2020 with a bachelor of arts in political science and minors in history and public policy. In college, she served as President of the University of California Student Association, and since fall 2020, she has worked for the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom — first as a John Gardner Public Service Fellow, and now as an Executive Assistant for Cabinet Affairs. She is passionate about working at the intersection of politics and policymaking to bring about progressive change, and she hopes to pursue a graduate education in public policy, social policy, history, and/or law at the University of Oxford. In her spare time, she listens to history podcasts, plays the piano, and trains her beloved rescue dog, Champion.
