Elena Frogameni, Florence, is a senior at Mt. Holyoke College, where she majors in Politics and French. Elena has won awards in French and English while conducting research and writing papers on the resilience of democracies, linguistic nationalism, and African and European politics. She is President of the Mt. Holyoke College Democrats and is a varsity squash player. She is a chief operating officer and political reporter for a newsletter designed for
young people has interned at the Department of State in the Africa Bureau in Paris and in political offices, and led church projects to support Syrian refugees. At Oxford, Elena intends to do the Master’s in Public Policy and the MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy.
