Sayeh K. Kohani, San Diego, is a senior at Stanford University majoring in Bioengineering. Sayeh’s academic work aims to understand how aberrant wiring in memory circuits contributes to neurological disorders, and she has conducted research in multiple Stanford labs. She is the inventor of a proprietary solar-powered water purification system to combat waterborne disease. She is also the founder and president of NeuroConnect, a volunteer program matching students with patients with neurodegenerative disorders to limit the effects of social isolation on disease progression. While at Oxford, she proposes to complete an MSc in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics and an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation. |
